DPE Apps

ChipSight Privacy Policy

Effective: October 23, 2026

Danpung Electronics (“we”) operates the Android app ChipSight (package dpe.chipsight) and is responsible for the processing described here.

1. Information the app processes

The app reads hardware information on your device (SoC, CPU clocks, temperatures, battery, memory, display, camera specifications, sensor values, network connection status) to show it in the app and in home-screen widgets.

  • This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. We run no servers that receive user data.
  • The app has no sign-up or login and does not collect your name, phone number or email.
  • A diagnostic report leaves the app only when you tap “Copy” or “Share”. It contains no account, file, location or IP address data. If you email it to us, we use it only to answer you and improve the app, and delete it when done.
  • If you email us, we process your address and message to reply, and delete them one year after the request is resolved.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows one AdMob banner provided by Google LLC. Google’s SDK automatically collects:

DataPurpose
Advertising ID and other device identifiersAd delivery and measurement, personalized ads, fraud prevention
IP address (may indicate approximate location)Ad delivery, fraud prevention
Ad impressions, clicks and other in-app interactionsAd measurement, personalized ads
Device model, OS version, crash and performance dataAd delivery, diagnostics
  • See the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
  • Recipient: Google LLC, as an independent controller for this data.
  • Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent tool on first launch; ads are requested only within that consent (legal basis: consent, and legitimate interest where Google relies on it). Change it any time under Report › About › “Privacy settings (ad consent)”.

3. International transfers

Ad data is transferred to Google LLC and processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates, under Google’s safeguards described in its privacy policy.

4. Advertising ID and your choices

The app uses no cookies, but uses the Android advertising ID for ads. You can delete or reset it in Android settings › Privacy (or Google) › Ads; once deleted it is not used for personalized ads.

5. Retention

We store no app user data. In-app data is removed when you uninstall the app. Email inquiries are deleted as described in section 1.

6. Sharing and processors

We do not share your personal data with third parties or use processors, apart from the data collected by Google’s ad SDK described above.

7. Permissions

Internet and advertising ID (ads); network and Wi-Fi state (network tab; the Wi-Fi name is not read). All are granted at install time; no runtime permissions are requested.

8. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 (under 14 in Korea) and does not knowingly collect their data.

9. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing, and withdraw consent, by writing to dpe@dpeapps.xyz. As we hold no app user data, ad-related data can be managed with Google directly or limited as described above. You may also object to processing. EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with their data protection authority.

10. Security

The app is designed not to send device information anywhere; the ad SDK’s traffic is encrypted with TLS.
